Camp Chingachgook sits on the quiet east shore of Lake George. The summer months are filled with the excitement of summer camp — both overnight and day-led by highly trained and motivated staff, many of whom were Chingachgook campers. While campers are having fun they are learning to challenge themselves and support each other in a safe, cooperative, and inspiring community.
In addition to traditional camp, Chingachgook offers summer adventure trips for older kids, typically five-day to three and five-week wilderness trips backpacking, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, biking, and more.
YMCA Camp Chingachgook leads the northeast in adaptive sailing for recreational and seriously competitive sailors with mobility constraints.
